There's really nothing you can do to really prepare. Just pack your hospital bag, get the crib or bassinet set up, and make sure you have essentials like diapers, wipes, stuff for the bath, and clothes. The rest you'll figure out as you go along. Sorry to tell you that nothing in the world or anything that anyone tells you can prepare you for what's going to happen. You just have to experience it for yourself.
For sure pack your bag- I packed mine except for a few things I needed John to grab last minute (face lotion, etc.) and he forgot half of them. Buy a duplicate set so you can pack them all now.

I would be doing the same thing. Pretty sure I waste/spend a good amount of time in the blogger world myself, I don't think that it can hurt.
