Gobble Gobble

We had a great Thanksgiving in Salt Lake...Will missed the memo that Thanksgiving was the day of eating....and slept all day....

Will's second cousin Joe got him to eat a little...

We all did a lot of laughing....

Emily looked shocked about babies....

And Will slept some more...

Jingle Bells...

While Will did this...

And this....

And Miss Kitty did this...

I did this...

Totally in the Christmas spirit this year...I think it's because it's Will's first.
We're almost done with all our shopping!

We're off to Will's first Thanksgiving dinner, and his first trip to Salt Lake City too. Big day! I just read a lot of blogs and Facebook status updates about what people are grateful for...so I started thinking of mine...and the top thing that comes to mind this year is little Will. We're so thankful that he came to our family the healthy, happy little guy that he is!

Fancy Pants...well, shirt and shoes...

Will is Mr. Fancy Pants these days...
in his tie and fancy shoes!

Fast forward 60 years...
here's Will as an old man in his recliner....

Crossing his feet...

And a close up of those cute matching shoes...
only because Amy made fun of me for posting pics of Will's shoes...

Santa Baby....

I want these for my classroom....

because nothing gets kids moving faster to line when the ipod alarm starts playing ABC by the Jackson 5, or the Jonas Brothers, or a little something from the disco era...good times.

Rocking out to some Hannah Montana can give third graders just the break they need before we start math each day...and gives the teacher some great pictures for the end-of-year slide show too!

And...some mellow classical Beatles or Phantom of the Opera is the perfect accompaniment to writing time.

And my 5 year old ipod is dying...

Will is very animated with his facial expressions and even his hands...

"Peace!"

"Number 1!"

"No more pictures please!"
His parents are pretty much like paparazzi taking this many pictures...
the poor kid has to tell us when to stop!

And...we even have one of Will flipping the camera off! Promise it's just a coincidence...we hope! But this is a family blog, so... ;)

More Will...

Will loves bath time...and after that he gets all cozied up in this big towel and we play music and dance all around! He LOVES it...and he's definitely the only one that will ever hear me sing and dance...because it's so worth it to see this cute little face gaze up at me. Later I'm sure he'll beg me to stop!

Speaking of music...Will loves to cuddle with RJ by the computer and listen to Raffi music. And in the car the only thing that will silence him when he's upset is some good quality bass...as in, the most ghetto Top 40 hit you can muster. Loves it. Our son is a thug, it's fine.

Hard to Let Go is Right!

So last night RJ put Will in his crib for the first time, then blogged about it here.

Before he put him in there, I set up his video monitor (of course we need a video one, we're first timers here!) on his dresser....which is across the room from his crib, thus making it kinda hard to see him clearly. But, I thought it'd be just fine for one night, we can rig something better up later.

So imagine my surprise when I walked in Will's room this afternoon and saw this contraption:

Yep, that's the monitor right on top of his tripod! So cute...

Drumroll please...

Here we are at the 5 week mark....and Will just rolled over! Not once, but twice! We have it on film, but here are some pretty funny pictures of the triumphant one! He wasn't quite sure what to think...probably because of his crazy parents cheering so loudly!

**See the video on RJ's blog here (....and check out his new design too!)

Will and his hats....

...And some cute socks too!
