BIG Changes!

So...along with RJ's job change, new baby coming, new house...let's add MORE change! I've decided to leave teaching for a while. While I have absolutely enjoyed my 7 years teaching, and have always dreamed of this ideal job...it's time.

So...I've decided to start doing day care! In our house, we have an area that will be dedicated to just day care. I am so excited to interact with 8 toddlers on a daily basis, plan engaging activities, and apply my knowledge of early childhood education.

I will be starting day care in August and am so excited for this new adventure!

Lately...

Just few random things...

-Went to our first appointment for baby. All along W has said he's having "a baby brother AND a baby sister at the same time!" Don't worry, there's just one! Baby was kicking and moving all over the place. So cool!

-I walked in the room today and Will said, "Mom, I just looked at those pictures (ultrasound) of the baby again. It made me so happy!" He regularly mentions the things he's going to teach baby to do. So sweet.

-Still been feeling yucky....usually late afternoon/evening. I've eaten A TON. No, seriously. RJ's convinced I eat more than him these days, and as he says, "That's no small accomplishment!" I've already gained 10 pounds!

-Our house should be done in 60 days-ish. So excited! It's looking good so far!

-We got in to sell RJ's pallet creations at the Logan market each Saturday, as well as two Sundays at the Park Silly Market. We're so excited...and have been busy building, sanding, painting, staining! It'll be easier when the weather gets nicer!

-Starting to feel the end of the school year crunch! Stress! Testing! Yikes.

-Guess that's all for now! Just wanted to keep note of a few things so I don't forget. Been such a blogging slacker lately!

So Many Surprises!

Today is my mother-in-law's birthday! We were invited to go eat at Cafe Sabor for lunch.... Little did I know there was much more going on!

We got to the restaurant, walked upstairs and.... SURPRISE! My whole family....parents, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, even some friends....were there! RJ had planned a surprise party for my upcoming 30th birthday!

As we were chatting, RJ and Will brought in my present from them...a new awesome phone case! But there was a surprise for the guests too....

It took everyone a moment to notice Will had changed his shirt!

It was such a fun party! I'm so overwhelmed that everyone would drive all the way up from Salt Lake, just for lunch! And, on top of that, bring treats, too! My thoughtful husband pulled off quite the surprise...even if he did have to hog his mom's birthday to do it! ;)

Titanic!

At school, we've been learning about the Titanic. A boy in my class had just finished reading a book- historical fiction-about it. I asked him to briefly explain what happened to the Titanic.

As he finished explaining, he said, "Oh, and Aidan's aunt was on the Titanic!"

Aidan (another student): "No, no...not my aunt, my ancestor."

First student: "Oh, not his aunt, his aunt's sister."

Close enough!

House

In other big changes....we have finished house plans and signed on the contract to build! So excited! We'll be living in Nibley, just a few doors down from some good friends. We've been ever so grateful for the opportunity we've had to live with RJ's parents and save $$$. A dear friend of mine said something that really resonated with me the other day...she was talking about something unrelated, but said, "Don't you think your self-esteem comes from taking care of yourself?" This is so the point we're at right now...ready to take care of our family, in our house. We're so excited for our next adventure!
