Help...Screaming Baby!

You guys, I do not know what to do!

Will is totally in the shrieking phase....not angry shrieks, just playing, loud, happy shrieks. Which is fine and cute....when we're at home! Public, not so much.

My current prob is at church. We lasted 25 minutes at church today, then decided it just wasn't worth it to take turns in the hall.

We try books, quiet toys, Cheerios, etc.....

Help!

Moms out there....IDEAS?!

Menu Confusion

Lady at Cafe Sabor, while holding a menu:

"So....is this the menu I order from?"

Me: "Yes..."

Lady: "Oh...." Turns the menu to the back side. "Well then what's this?"

Me: "Oh that's just the back of the menu...."

Have you ever been to a restaurant where they give you a "sample" menu just to look at, then give you a different, "real" menu? Have you ever seen a menu with two sides? Not sure why she was so confused....

Math...

As I was teaching a math group today....

A student was looking very interested, definitely looked like he knew what was going on.
Raises his hand.

"Teacher, is it almost Halloween?"


A few minutes later:
A student was working on a math problem.
Suddenly looks up and says, "Teacher, I wish they made dutch oven for lunch at our school."

As you can see, my math lessons really keep the kids' attention...

Brush those Teeth!

So...RJ and I are in disagreement about whether it is ok to put Will to bed with a bottle. I maintain that the liquid pools and is bad for his teeth (even ones that aren't in yet). RJ disagrees.

So...we called my mom for clarification. Because, duh, moms know everything and also because my mom happens to work at a dental office. She verified my point exactly. Even when RJ said, "They're just baby teeth!" The dentist, who was in the background, explained that the infection can spread down into the bone, thus affecting the adult teeth to come.

So there!

Which led me to ask my mom what I should be doing for Will's teeth now,
aside from NOT put him to bed with a bottle ;).

And look what came in the mail soon after....
Will's first toothbrush!
And a few other little goodies too!




He liked the glasses....but not so much on his face!

Thinking hard about that toothpaste...

He has it mastered already....if we could only just turn the brush around!
I tried to help get the brush IN his mouth, but he cringed!
I don't think he likes the way it feels...
he gave me a face sort of like the lime face...

Rough Day!

Whew. Today was a hard one...as you can see by what I had for dinner tonight....


There is not ONE healthy thing on that plate!
Except the celery...and I didn't even eat that.


...and Coldstone for dessert!
